According to Mitt Romney the reason he lost the presidential election has to do with President Obama giving “gifts” to people – well let’s look at what we were given this election cycle and the previous four years.

President Barack Obama has from his initial campaign for the presidency back in 2008, has given new meaning to elections and voting. He has run campaigns that have energized the groups that are often overlooked in the political process especially in this age of lobbyists and Super Pacs.  New generations of voters and citizens have learned what it means to be engaged in the political process and to evaluate the issues that are of concern to them and to vote accordingly. Older heads have been reminded what this whole Democracy thing is supposed to be about and have found new interest and motivation due to President Obama. With 93% of the African American vote, and 73% of the Asian American vote and 71% of the Hispanic vote, it is just as President Clinton alluded to during the democratic convention – its  the MATH. Apparently Mr. Romney and friends are somewhat math challenged and arguably fact challenged as well.

One has to question Mr. Romney’s sanity after making statements to his donors that voters supported President Obama because he gave or promised them big gifts, such as Obamacare also known as the Affordable Care Act; partial loan forgiveness for student loans and the portion of the ACA that actually extends coverage to college students.

So in one fell swoop, Mr. Romney throws off the pretense of wanting to serve THIS country by sounding so incredibly self serving and smarmy one has to wonder again if he is wrapped too tight. If his statement about the 47% wasn’t bad enough – he decides to double down on that statement and compound it by saying that he lost not because people made informed decisions and chose who and what they felt would represent their interests, no we  are too stupid for that according to Mittens.

This election clearly demonstrated that you cannot run a campaign in this day and age with no solid policies to put forward and with the background theme music of racial intolerance and divisiveness.  From the inception of his campaign, we have been subjected to all manner of dog whistles and sideways innuendo that can’t be attributed to anything other than intolerance of anyone or anything that is not “like” them. In case any one hadn’t been paying attention during the campaign, Mr. Romney once again so eloquently speaks and removes all doubt as to what the REAL issue was for HIM and HIS supporters. Post Racial America my ass.

All the dog whistles and innuendos, blatant disrespect, threats, and LIES couldn’t get you into the White House Mr. Romney.

Don’t let the doorknob hit you on your way out…
